Providing Work Experience

Through support from the ALMR and the Yummy Pub Co, Liam Pope has fully qualified as a chef.  The ALMR paid for essential training equipment and staff time to allow our school to run an NVQ in catering, and the Wiremill gave Liam a year’s work experience, working a day a week alongside their chef.

“Liam was so good, and we enjoyed having him around so much, we extended his placement beyond the original three months”.

“The Licensed Trade Charity is a fantastic ambassador for a sector that is committed to supporting good causes. The LTC provides young people with first class training and opportunities to forge careers within licensed hospitality. ALMR members work closely with the LTC to support their schools and we are very proud to be a part of their great work.”

British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA)

Not only has the BBPA actively promoted the work of the Charity through its members for many years but also raised much appreciated funds at their Annual Dinner each October. A huge thank you goes to BBPA Chief Executive, Brigid Simmonds OBE, for kick-starting support at a corporate level when the Charity relaunched its charity services.

Worshipful Company of Innholders (WCI)

This livery company has worked alongside the Charity for many years, with a particular interest in supporting the elderly. In 2012 the WCI offered to fund the Charity’s Volunteer Befriending programme, which aims to help the elderly who are socially isolated. The WCI also supports our independent school, LVS Ascot, with a number prizes and scholarships for the students.
